Corning : A Day Made of Glass : 2
Over the last 4-5 months this has been my life. I was on set the week after Hemingway wrapped and into the thick of filming Corning. We were all over the Bay Area in Redwood Forests, Schools in Livermore, John Madden’s Goal Line studios in the East Bay and San Rafael.
After this we spent the next 4-5 months at Westernized creating the post effects.
It was a lot of hard work, but fun as hell and I am so happy to finally be able to show it.

This is a project we worked on at WESTERNIZED. It was an amazing shoot, 6 days on set (I was VFX Sup for 2, assistant for the others) and it was my first real time on non school set. It was one of those… this is my life… moments…
Being on set, Marcello and I were able to get a lot of the references and photos that we would want that we arent ever provided with. We had 360 probes in each room, as many random stills as we could get away with and just an understanding of the size and measurements of things so when I was comping I had a better understanding of what I was doing.
This was a huge VFX shoot and production and I loved every minute of it. I hope to one day move more into the on set VFX sup role in between comp roles so this was an amazing opportunity.
My comp shots are all the bedroom shots (at the start and end) and a few mall shots. The bedroom shots all have roof replacements, window and bg replacements, mograph and day for night replacements. Learnt so much on this shoot and really truly love my job…
