Baroque.me: Bach Cello Suites No. 1, Prelude

If you know me, then you know I dig music and visualizations… and more than that, music visualizations…

Baroque.me visualizes the first Prelude from Bach’s Cello Suites. Using the mathematics behind string length and pitch, it came from a simple idea: what if all the notes were drawn as strings? Instead of a stream of classical notation on a page, this interactive project highlights the music’s underlying structure and subtle shifts.

Daito Manabe’s “Particles” at YCAM

Daito Manabe is a Japanese artist, designer, programmer, DJ, VJ & composer.  His work is a beautiful combination of sound, lights and motion all in the real world.

The future is here…

All I can say is….

“Help me Obiwan… You’re our only hope…”

MPC’s (http://www.moving-picture.com/) Ralph Lauren 4D projection event was last night in London and NYC. I wish I had been able to get out and see this one as it always blows my mind when you get to see something like this for real.  The reactions of the crowd and the sheer delight in peoples faces as they see the beautiful stuff that vfx can do.

MPC have again cemented themselves as one of my favourite houses of all time…

MPC worked with Drive and UVA to create the stunning 4D projection.

The video has a small break down (very small) but I am sure MPC will have their own version of this online soon.
