PiKA PiKA 2011
Pika Pika have done it again, taking light painting to the next level by using the Sun.
This beautiful piece describes their use of clean energy in their latest piece and how it relates to the 2011 disaster in Japan. In japan there is lot of debate about energy and this is the Pika Pika answer…. the sun…. enjoy

The beautiful story of Boojil (http://boojil.ojaru.jp/) made by the golden couple Tochka (http://tochka.jp/)
I met Boojil in 2005 I think. I had just moved to Japan and I was in love with the Design Festa Gallery (http://www.designfestagallery.com/index_en.html). Random art every week or so by random people from all over the world.
One day there was a new artist, it was her first solo show and her art was so happy. She was there too, happy, excited and loving every moment of being there. This was Boojil. She introduced me to her mum. We decided to try to do a language exchange, but that just turned into drinking and fireworks outside Kaeru in Shimokitazawa (http://r.tabelog.com/tokyo/A1318/A131802/13048957/).
Boojil showed me an amazing part of Japan and made me realise that dreams come true in Japan. Her dream was to be an artist, and she did so well getting work into magazines and having shows. Just before I left Japan in 2007 I introduced Boojil to Takeshi and Mon-chan who are Tochka. We went to a pika pika show and everyone swapped information.
I left japan and then, about 3 months ago found out that Boojil and Tochka were working together!!! I was so happy and so excited to see the results. I was also really happy to lend a very small hand to the project. I wish I had more time to help out!
おかっぱちゃん is funny, witty and beautiful. A great mix of media and a great story cause it is true… This is the Boojil I met 5 years ago… The Boojil that showed me Shimokitazawa and great little service bars…
I miss japan, miss boojil, miss tochika, but thankfully… I can watch them on youtube…
